Then right
there were the Lord had placed us IS, at that time, where we ought to be.
And this happens in multiple seasons thru our lives not only right after we get
married only but.
The problem comes when we refuse
to be planted were He had placed us; planted in
the new home with our husband our of the town where we were raised; in the new school
you’ve been transferred to, the new job you just started, the new church your
husband decided to take the family to, etc, etc, etc.
The problem becomes even greater because as we refuse
to be planted there, the next step would be getting to know our surroundings and
with then it will mean that most likely will refuse too, to mingle with this “new
family”, that we’ve got into, the new neighborhood, classmates, church family,
and others. And when THE LORD placed us somewhere we have to realize HE has a
purpose, and it will be good for us! Psalm 92:12 “The righteous shall flourish
like a palm tree,
He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.” This new season in the new place that we are in, will give us new experiences, new friends, new tools for future paths is life. And the people that we meet here can become our support for the journey in the new place, and sometimes for future journeys too.

If even JESUS
(the unblemished lamb) wanted and called HIS closest disciples with Him, to
support Him with their presence and their prayers, don’t you think us, an
earthly human being created BY HIM, should follow what HE did?
All of us
need such an inner circle. We are meant
to live in relation to others, not in isolation.
When JESUS
said “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.”
Mark 14:34 Jesus was confessing that HE was in extreme spiritual anguish, and
it could have affected HIS mental, emotional and physical condition as
well.
Come on, if
that could possibly happen to the son of God, how much more to us? Have you
ever felt that way?
Man wasn’t
created to be alone. Isolation is a terrible
thing; defined by the dictionary as the process of separating somebody or
something from others, or the fact of being alone and separated from others or
the condition of being cut off from others, or from other places is what best
defines Isolation; it’s also loneliness and segregation. Segregation?
Isn’t that what we’ve been trying to avoid since the emancipation took place?
Hum!!!!
When
you isolate you tend to think too much because of the fact that you’re
“alone”; when the isolation includes a TV, the thoughts can be even worst depending
on what you’re watching at that time, so
beware and try to AVOID ISOLATION.
Jesus wasn’t joking when He said: “Watch and pray, lest you enter into
temptation. The spirit indeed is
willing, but the flesh is
weak.” Mark 14:38
THIS is exactly why we need people of God
surrounding us; prayer support.
The
mind is called the battlefield because in the mind is were evil
thoughts are propel or stopped. Your mind and your heart are correlated that’s why the Lord
makes sure it’s mention in the first commandment in Mark 12: 29-31: “‘Hear, O
Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 And you shall love THE LORD your GOD with all
your heart, with all your soul, with all
your MIND, and with all your strength.”
This correlation is found in many Scriptures in
the Old & New Testament, among those:
·
Jeremiah 17:10 - “I, the LORD, search the heart, I
test the mind,” · Hebrews 8:10 - “I (says the LORD) will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”
· Revelation 2:23 - “…and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts.”
· Matthew 12:34 – “For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.”
When you
choose to isolate yourself from your church family and/or the world, guess
what? You are doing the same thing your kids do when they choose not to follow
your ways… they’re disobeying. Ooooooooooooops!
Even in the
little kids are taught in school, to follow the rules, in church they are
taught about following the laws of the Bible, of their house, and of the land
they lived in. Everyone knows that we
have to obey the law. We can’t afford to
disobey, God is coming soon!
James
4:8, give us the solution in relation to this isolation and disobedience
problem, “Draw near to GOD and HE will
draw near to you. Cleanse your
hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts…”
Get out and
share the time God still has for you to live, and bless other with your
presence, your love, your resources. Get
involved in your community activities, with your neighborhood, friends; and if
you do not have a church family, look around, and check your neighborhood
church, and go! And, IF you need me to
suggest you one, let me know! And have yourself a MERRY CHRISTMAS time, for the
glory of God.
