We
choose when to get up, and when to go to bed, what to eat, the clothes and shoes
to wear, etc, etc, etc. But as I said in
previous studies, there are some things that shouldn’t be a choice. There are some absolutes that GOD had established for us
just to follow, and they are just to be followed the way HE said to, and
NOTHING or NO ONE has the right to debate those.
One
of the most debated of those absolutes is the idol worshiping, either of carved
images, pillars, or stones, which is forbidden! And notice that BEFORE showing
us the blessings, The Lord had chosen to remind us in the first two verses of
this chapter about this essential command.
I decided to number the twenty-six blessings The Lord promises to those following
HIS Word, for easier understanding, and to help us realize that it pays off to
be diligent following our Heavenly Father. Let’s begin!
“DO NOT make idols or set up carved images,
or sacred pillars, or sculptured stones in your land so you may worship them. I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD. 2 You must keep my
Sabbath days of rest and show
reverence for my sanctuary. I AM THE LORD.
3-13 “If you FOLLOW MY decrees and are careful to OBEY MY commands:
1.
I will send you the seasonal
rains
2.
The land will then yield its
crops
3.
The trees of the
field will produce their fruit.
4.
Your threshing season will
overlap with the grape harvest
5.
Your grape
harvest will overlap with the season of planting grain.
6.
You will eat your fill
7.
Live securely in
your own land.
8.
I will give you peace in the
land
9.
You will be able
to sleep with no cause for fear
10.
I will rid the land of wild
animals
11.
Keep your
enemies out of your land
12.
You will chase
down your enemies and slaughter them with your swords.
13.
Five of you will chase a
hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand!
14.
All your enemies
will fall beneath your sword.
15.
I will look favorably upon you,
16.
Making you
fertile
17.
Multiplying your
people
18.
I will fulfill my covenant with
you
19.
You will have such
a surplus of crops; you will need to make room for the new harvest!
20.
I will live among you
21.
I will not despise you.
22.
I will walk among you;
23.
I will be your God,
24.
You will be my
people.
25.
You would no
longer be their slaves.
26.
You can walk
with your heads held high.
Now, these promises are ONLY for those who’ve accepted GOD
as their ONLY Master in life. What this
means is that the promises ARE NOT for those that believe in luck, or for those
that believe that thru Jesus earthly mother, Mary, will accomplish
something. IS NOT for those that believe
in mediums or witchcraft doctors, or that believe that a set of cards can tell
them the future.
If you fall in one of those categories, let me tell you that
you have a chance to claim these promises ONLY IF YOU:
A.
ADMIT
that you are a sinner, and need
salvation
B.
BELIEVE
that God sent JESUS (HIS gift to us) to die at the cross to pay for our sins
C.
CONFESS
The Lord as your only Savior & Master of your life.
After this believe that God had cleanse your ugly past, and
sees you as a brand new creation with new opportunities to stay clean as long
as you believe that with Him everything is possible! Therefore pray for Him to
lead you to the church you need to be at where HIS Word is preached, and idol
worshiping is inexistent. Study His Word
and pray DAILY! And join a Bible study group in church, you will discover that
you have new brothers and sisters that are eager to meet you and grow in the Lord
with you.
Try it! You will not be disappointed, for GOD NEVER FAILS!
