The joy of those corrected by GOD! – Job 5

“Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects; Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty.
18 For He bruises, but He binds up; He wounds, but His hands make whole.
19 He shall deliver you in six troubles, Yes, in seven no evil shall touch you.
20 In famine He shall redeem you from death, And in war from the power of the sword.
21 You shall be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, And you shall not be afraid of destruction when it comes.
22 You shall laugh at destruction and famine, And you shall not be afraid of the beasts of the earth.
23 For you shall have a covenant with the stones of the field, And the beasts of the field shall be at peace with you.
24 You shall know that your tent is in peace; You shall visit your dwelling and find nothing amiss. 25 You shall also know that your descendants shall be many, And your offspring like the grass of the earth.
26 You shall come to the grave at a full age, As a sheaf of grain ripens in its season.
27 Behold, this we have searched out; It is true. Hear it, and know for yourself.”

Job’s friends aren’t too popular because they show no understanding that what Job was going thru was not a punishment due to sin; but another way for God to get the glory of all this trial; to show Satan who was really over Job.  However Eliphaz made a statement in relation to today’s subject that’s very true.
I’m not too sure happy is really what you feel when going thru a time of correction in your life; at least I wasn’t.  On the other hand even when we aren’t that happy we shouldn’t look down on or disregard when God is correcting us. Is like I tell my students, the earlier you get what the Lord is trying to teach you, the faster you’ll move out of that trial. I’m not saying that you will not have another one coming up again, but just saying this one might be over soon.

One thing I do want to make clear is that when God allows us to get bruised for whatever reason, it’s usually to get our attention and get us to move away from that place, person or thing; HE Himself will bind us up.  In the New Living Translation verse nineteen reads:”From six disasters HE will rescue you; even in the seventh, HE will keep you from evil.

Some of these several things GOD will rescue us from include that in our times of drought and war, HE will provide for us, and will not let us die.  When we get punished or criticized by somebody, we do not have to be afraid for HIM who sees it all, will be taking care of us. Take revenge it should never be an option. When we leave it to God, HE who pays better than us, knows how to do it, so we need to leave room for the righteous anger of God. The Scripture says, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord[1]. In other words, because vengeance belongs to Him, we need to bring those who hurt us to HIM, and HE will vindicate us, and deal with them; remember HE always does it better!

When is saying that we have to laugh at the destruction and famine, is not at them, because that “aint” funny; but what it means is that we will not allow it to bug us down to the point that erases the smile off of our faces. Confidently we can laugh for our trust is not in another human being but in a supernatural GOD who does miracles every single time.  We can and will be in peace with everything or everyone that crosses our path, including stones or wild animals; they will not even be bothered as we go by. We will not be scared to leave our dwelling place for we know God is taking care of it.  Barrenness will not be in our future, for at due time like the grass will be coming forth.  Eliphaz is encouraging his friend that he will go to the grave only when he gets old enough to, like sometimes we say, but the reality is we will not leave this earth until God says so, for some is at a ripe age, others might be sooner than that.  This is why we need to be spiritually prepared all the time.

This shouldn’t be a matter of concern but of awareness; therefore is essential, that you accept the Lord as your only Savior and Master of your life, and live for Him, that’s the way to be ready. Study the Word daily, so you can mature in His ways, and if He doesn’t come for you today, oh well, good then; keep working in your relationship with Him in case is tomorrow. But allow that not to trouble you! Everyday will bring its own cares, just live for God today; then tomorrow repeat it again, and keep it going!  The Lord Himself said: I will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything I have promised you.”[2]
Remember there’s a season for everything in life.[3] “God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.”[4]

Enjoy every day God is giving you, recognizing who is REALLY in control of it. Rejoice in the LORD, always, and I say it again, REJOICE! Every day is a gift from God, so as an appreciation token, LIVE for HIM!  Confess Him daily, and every time you fall, get back up, ask forgiveness and try to get over that what made you fall, DO NOT STAY DOWN. DO NOT LISTEN or entertain the lies of the devil! Satan came to rob you of your peace, your blessings and dreams; to kill your hopes and ultimately destroy your life; BUT GOD CAME TO GIVE YOU LIFE, and life in abundance!!![5] BELIEVE THIS AND LIVE FOR GOD!!! DAILY!!!

In the name of JESUS and for His glory, I declare you’re going to make it!  I’m praying for you!
